Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Template notice: This is a starting template. Before you accept real money, have a solicitor review these terms — a platform that moves funds between people has specific legal and regulatory obligations.

1. About Friendly Hand

Friendly Hand ("we", "us") provides a platform that connects people who wish to give financial help ("Givers") with people requesting help toward an everyday bill ("Seekers"). We are not a bank, lender, or charity, and we do not provide financial or legal advice.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account and for all activity under it. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

3. Requests & giving

Seekers are responsible for the accuracy of their requests. Givers choose freely how much to give. Gifts are voluntary and, unless stated otherwise, non-refundable once sent. We review requests but do not guarantee the circumstances of any request.

4. Fees

We charge a platform fee on gifts, shown clearly before you confirm. Payment processing fees may also apply and are handled by our payment provider.

5. Payments & payouts

Payments and payouts are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). By using the service you also agree to their terms. Payout timing depends on the provider and verification checks.

6. Prohibited use

No fraud, misrepresentation, money laundering, or use of the platform for unlawful purposes. We may report suspected fraud to the relevant authorities.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other users.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here with an updated date.
